Narragansett Boat Club is located on the Seekonk River in Providence, Rhode Island. There are rowing programs for beginners to masters levels, with sculling for fitness and sweeps for competition. Rowers from this club have won or placed well in prestigious regattas such as the Head of the Charles and have continued rowing on Ivy League teams.
There are a variety of classes throughout the summer and several open houses that allow newcomers to try rowing for free. Students must be 13 years old by the date of the first class. Students should be able to swim 100 yards and tread water for at least 5 minutes.
