Johns Hopkins University is a medium-sized, private university located in Baltimore. The University is world renowned for its research, especially in the sciences, medicine and engineering. There have been 37 Nobel Laureates affiliated with the University. The University was named for entrepreneur, Johns Hopkins, who donated the largest philanthropic gift in U.S. history to found the University.
Summer Programs at Johns Hopkins University
Engineering Innovation is an outreach program of the Whiting School of Engineering. It offers college-level engineering for high school students and takes place in locations across the United States. Johns Hopkins University credit is available upon completion.
Discover Hopkins is three sessions of intensive programs for high school students available on a residential or commuter basis. Courses include

Johns Hopkins welcomes high school students to its Summer University. It allows students to take any freshman to sophomore level class over a five-week term. Tuition for commuters is based on number of units. Residential students must enroll in at least two courses and up to six credits for the fee listed. A limited selection of courses are available in two mini-terms.
Center for Space Science is part of the Maryland Summer Centers for Gifted and Talented Students and is open for Maryland residents only.
