Use the Academic Programs tab to search for summer programs on topics from astronomy to textile design. Travel Abroad Programs includes every continent, except Antarctica, with community service, language acquisition and more. There are over thirty options for sports camps based on college campuses. Arizona State University is a public, national space-grant institution with an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 58,000 students. It has several campuses in the Phoenix area. Phoenix has warm winters and very hot, dry summers. The area has water parks, museums, great restaurants and the aptly named Camelback Mountain.

Summer Programs at Arizona State University

The Summer Health Institute introduces high school students to careers in health care. This residential program will include simulations to increase students understanding of common procedures such as scrubbing, intubation and suturing.

The Cronkite Institute's Sports Broadcast Boot Camp is a two-week residential program that allows students to experience the excitement of journalism.

The American English and Culture Program is an intensive English as Second Language Program that immerses the foreign student in English and American culture. High school students must be at least 15 years old to participate and on vacation from their regular school. Housing on campus can be arranged. There are four or eight week sessions that run throughout the year.

There are a wide variety of camps for high and middle school students with a technology and engineering focus.

App Camp helps students develop apps for the iPhone. There is a camp especially for girls and reduced tuition for participants.

The Summer Engineering Experience lets students visit research labs and participate in problem solving with fun team projects.

The Ultimate Technology Boot Camp is a 12-day residential program with games, robotics, apps and animation. Field trips include visits to the Intel Embedded Lab and the ASU Flight Simulation.

Making and Tinkering for grades 6 – 12 introduces students to rapid prototyping equipment to make their imaginings real.

The Summer Transportation Institute allows high school students to learn about traffic and transportation engineering. This competitive, free program is open to Arizona residents only.

The W.P. Carey School of Business offers several programs to help high school students learn about careers in business. There are special programs for minority students with scholarships available.
